Educational goal is to teach children numbers and counting.

Vocabulary:  one, two, three, four, five.

Sentence pattern:   Pom-pom-one. Pom-pom two. Pom-pom three.

Equipment: cotton, colours, paper, pencils, glue

How to play:  Prepare colored cotton balls beforehand and copy out the handout 2.4., that is a picture of different caterpillars as shown below. Children will glue the cotton balls and say “Pom-pom-one” or “Pom-pom- four” according to the caterpillar’s number of caterpillar’s “pom-pom” tails.   

 Learning outcome: At the end of the game, children will be able to count one to five and say the amount of objects around them
