This is a guessing card game played with two different sets of cards (character cards and question cards (Handout 2.1). Kids read a description, try to guess the character, then say the goodbye phrase. This game can be played individually, in pairs or small teams. (The Teacher helps to remember the names)
Print out character and game (question) cards. If you want, you can stick the printout onto the heavy paper. Laminate for future use.
Cut out the individual cards, fold them and glue
Put game cards in a pile face up (answer side down).
To begin, take the first card from the pile and read the task aloud. For example, Bye for now. Say it to someone who is wearing a blue dress.
If a member of either team thinks they can answer, they raise their hand and must give their answer immediately. For example, Bye for now, Lemonia!
If it is correct, their team earns a point. If it is not correct, the other team has thirty seconds in which to try to answer. If they answer correctly, they earn a point.
Continue with the rest of the task cards. The team with the most points wins.
