Educational goal is to help children learn about their clothes and their pronunciation in English. This game improves their memory, sensory and motor skills.

Vocabulary:  shirt, shoes, jacket, socks, scarf, hat

Sentence pattern:   It is a hat.

Equipment: paper, pictures, computer

How to play:  This clothing guessing game is a great way to introduce or review clothes vocabulary with kids. This game can be played in both way: offline and online. In an offline version, teacher will distribute ready-made handouts of outline of clothes and children will find them (handout 7.3.). In an online version, kids will see an outline of an item of clothing. They then have 5 seconds to guess what piece of clothing it is. This activity can be used as a review activity once children have learned some clothing vocabulary. Alternatively, it can be used as an introduction activity to introduce the topic of clothes and to activate children’s existing knowledge of clothes vocabulary.

Learning outcome: At the end of the game, children will be able to name their clothes in English.
